Four months after launching their brand in Africa with Kenya being their premier nerve centre, global betting company Betway awarded two jackpot winners this week with each taking home Kshs 400,000 for their efforts and success.
Jonathan Maasai (centre), an employee of Kenya Power and Anthony Kahiga, a bus conductor in Nyandarua County are the latest winners as the company continues to registers a flying start in the Kenyan market and Africa in general.
Reason to bet
The two received their dummy cheques equivalent of the amount from Betway marketing assistant, Hellen Murathimi and business development manager, Jacob Mbuthia in Nakuru after winning last week’s Betway Jackpot bonus for correctly predicting 11 out of 12 games.
Founded in 2006, the interactive betting platform launched in Kenya in August 2015 is licensed in eight countries and has a comprehensive sportsbook offering with a wide selection of both pre-game and in-play betting markets across a broad range of sports.
It is the official principal sponsor of Premier League football club West Ham United among other major events and hopes to keep expanding its share in the Kenyan market where fans are enthusiastic to take it up.
