KPL Top 8 winners Muhoroni Youth had ‘put their differences aside’ way before their finale clash against Gor Mahia, coach Tom Juma has reaveled.
A controversy involving the club chairman and the sections of players had left the team in a questionable frame
of mind ahead of the final clash and it seemed headed for the worst when
Bobby Ogolla resignation saw Tom Juma thrown at the deep end a fortnight to
the finale. The coach did take it in strides to steer the team to success, a feat he claims
couldn’t be attained without a unity of purpose.
-True we did have our own issues since the start of the second leg, so it was a great chance to show that we have come over it. Our unity was there even before our game against Gor, we played well against Mathare and had brought our heads together in what helped us to approach the game in a unified front, Juma told futaa.
The honours saw Tom Juma, a former
Gor Mahia and AFC Leopard player trump his former side to bag his maiden title
as a coach.
