Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure could turn down contract extension as newcomers Newcastle United and Brighton chase the Ivorian.
The midfielder could end his seven year stay at Etihad despite Pep Guardiola wanting to keep him. A move away from Etihad would mean Toure has nothing to do with money nor will it have anything to do with snubbing Guardiola who froze him out of first team for the most of half of the season.
City manager Guardiola wants the former Barcelona midfielder to stay for at least another year and may even want a further 12 month option. London club West Ham are monitoring him, with teammate Pablo Zabaleta already a target as his contract expire in the summer.
Toure will have a meeting to discuss his options with Manchester City and agent Seluk.
