Women Premier League side Soccer Queens thrashed a resilient Spedag Fc 5-3 in a captivating league match on May 14 2017 at Camp Toyoyo.
Spedag were the first to score in the 13th minute after Wendy Achieng crossed the ball into the box and found Kenyan International Esse Akida who headed past Soccer Queens keeper. Lilian Akinyi found the back of the net a few minutes later to restore parity for Queens. A few minutes before halftime Sharon Akinyi scored to give Queens the lead .
In the first minute of the second half Aquino Corazone scored to extend Queens lead however, Spedag scored its second goal in the 60th minute through Wendy Achieng. Five minutes later Esther Nandika scored the fourth goal for Queens and Emily Auma added the fifth goal a minute later. Wendy Achieng pulled one back in the 75th minute for Spedag to seal the win for Queens in a pulsating WPL clash.
