Kenyan International defender Anne Aluoch has decried lack of motivation and various failures of giving priority on keys issues as the reason why players don’t nurture their talent.
Aluoch has noted that players do lack opportunity to facilitate the growth of their talent.
While speaking to Futaa, the experienced defender added that lack of equipment has also hindered the growth of football in the community as only big teams and schools have the necessary equipment that help in training the players.
-You know out there a player with no club or grounds owned by the community lack the basic equipment to help in their growth. This is means that most people who really wish to play have their dreams crashed. We lack sponsorship in the community grounds where we as players being our humble journey. Countries in Europe have emphasised on community sponsorship where communities get up to date grounds and equipment and look at where they are now in terms of sports, she lamented.
Aluoch began a football team called Street Revolution as a gesture of appreciation to the community. She is currently the Kenya U20 coach after an impressive career as a footballer.
