Tusker FC Head Coach George Nsimbe has revealed why they decided to play against a National Super League side prior to their encounter with Bandari in the Kenyan Premier League.
Speaking after his side's 8-3 win over NSL side Police at the Ruaraka Grounds, the Ugandan tactician explained that the reason was because they wanted some competition.
-We decided to play against a team in the NSL so that we get some competition. The players have been following our strategy during matches which has seen the team improve gradually, he told the club's page.
Tusker will host Bandari on Sunday 2 July at the Kinoru Stadium, Meru with Paul Nkata returning to the side led to a double last season winning the Shield Cup as well as the League Cup.
