According to reports Stoke City have accepted a bid that could rise to £3m from Burnley for striker Jon Walters.
The 33-year-old Republic of Ireland international is yet to complete a medical and agree personal terms, but the transfer could be finalised before the start of next week. He played a crucial part in last month's World Cup Qualifier against Austria when his late equaliser rescued a vital point for Martin O'Neill's side to keep their hopes of World Cup qualification on track.
Burnley, who have been looking to bolster their attacking options after George Boyd rejected the offer of a one-year contract extension to remain at Turf Moor in favour of a move to Sheffield Wednesday.
Walters has made more than 250 appearances for Stoke, scoring 62 goals for the Potters since joining from Ipswich in 2010.
