Spanish giants Real Madrid have confirmed the signing of midfielder Dani Ceballos from Real Betis on a six-year deal.
Ceballos ended the season with Betis and was impressive for Spain during the European Under-21 championship. The 20 year old was linked heavily with both Real and arch-rivals Barcelona, but opted to sign for the Champions League holders on a six-year contract.
Real confirmed the move in a statement on their website, saying Ceballos would be unveiled at a press conference next Thursday. Although they did not specify a fee reports have suggested they will pay €17 million (£15m), €2m over his €15m buy-out clause.
The Spaniard becomes the second signing of the summer for Real, following the arrival of Theo Hernandez from Atletico Madrid.
