West Ham are hoping to complete a deal to sign former Man United forward Javier Hernandez this week, according to Sky sources.
Hammers manager Slaven Bilic is eager to bolster his attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season and Sky Sports News understands a deal for the Mexico international is edging closer.
Hernandez, who spent five years at Manchester United between 2010 and 2015, has a £13m release clause in his contract with German side Bayer Leverkusen.
Reports revealed earlier this month that West Ham had held talks with the 29-year-old about a move to the London Stadium, with the club aiming at signing at least one forward this summer.
Hernandez has scored 39 goals during his two seasons with Leverkusen.
