Juventus have announced the signing of ex-Roma goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny from Arsenal for a reported €12m.
The transfer was confirmed in a statement on Juve’s official website, which also stated Szczesny had put pen to paper on a four-year contract with the club. The Pole had spent the last two seasons on loan at Roma, but he will now be nurtured for the Bianconeri’s No 1 jersey once Gianluigi Buffon retires.
Previous reports suggest the 27-year-old has agreed a deal worth €3.5m a season, while Juve are expected to pay Arsenal €10m up front and a further €2m in bonuses.
