Liverpool ace Divock Origi is keen to push for a more important contribution at the club level in the new season 2017/18.
Speaking to the club portal after his dream start of a goal and assist against Crystal Palace on Wednesday 19 July in Hong Kong, the 22-year old was however modest in acknowledging that much of his chances wont entirely be his call to make.
-I am making steps every training session, every game I feel better and better, it’s down to me to prepare and be as important as possible for the team.
-I enjoy playing with quality players. For me, I just have to enjoy my own game and do my thing as it’s what I can control, he said.
Despite his scoring 22 goals in 33 starts for Liverpool in past two seasons, the Belgian is yet to cement a starting spot in Jurgen Klopp's team.
Dominic Solanke scored Liverpool's opening goal in the match.
