Chelsea have completed the signing of Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid on a five-year contract for a record fee in the region of £67m.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was desperate to bring in a new striker this summer after telling Diego Costa he was no longer ‘part of his plans’.
The Blues were pipped to Romelu Lukaku by Manchester United while Borussia Dortmund refused to let go of their talisman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
But Conte has finally got his hands on a striker - Alvaro Morata who he would’ve worked with in Juve but then departed to coach the Italian national side.
Morata's arrival will pave the way for international teammate Costa to leave the club with a return to Atletico Madrid on the cards.
