Former Gor Mahia midfielder Amos Nondi and ex-Kariobangi Sharks youngster John Macharia made their debut in the Georgian Premier League as their side Kolkheti Poti suffered a 6-1 loss to league leaders Dinamo Tblisi in a match played on Friday 21.
Nondi started the match alongside his former Gor Mahia teammate Eric Marcelo Ouma who has become a regular starter ever since signing for the side in January. Macharia started on the bench during the clash.
Lasha Totadze gave Tbilisi a lead just after seven minutes of play while Beka Mikeltadze doubled the lead 12 minutes later. Giorgi Chakvetadze ensured at 3-0 lead by halftime with his goal at the 43rd minute of the tie.
In the second half, Beka Mikeltadze got his second goal of the game at the 53rd minute. Few minutes’ later Kolkheti head coach Sanaia Gela introduced John Macharia, Igor Brovko and Oleksandr Derebchynsky as the side continued to chase the game.
Tbilisi added the fifth goal at the 69th minute while substitute Brovko pulled one goal back for Poti. Lasha Kochladze netted the final goal of the game for Tblisi at the 87th minute.
The result leaves Poti ninth on a 10 team league standings with 17 points. They will be seeking to recover from the loss when they face Saburtulo home to Kenyan midfielder Chambi Tera.
