AFC Leopards head coach Robert Matano believes that the team is headed in the right direction and it can only get better.
The coach won his second match in charge beating Bidco United for a 2-1 win at Thika Stadium. He is mesmerized with how his charges played against Bidco.
Matano never expected the side perform the way they did and he revealed that they have not had a full house training since most of the players were sick after the Mombasa trip.
-It is just a start, AFC Leopards is going to improve. The way the boys played am impressed because the past week we have not trained as team. We came from Mombasa and most players were sick. I was also sick and our first serious training session was on Tuesday, he told Futaa.
The coach now wants his side to put up consistent performances in the upcoming matches and his aim is to tackle each game at a time.
-I like the way they are playing and now we will need to be consistent in the upcoming matches. It is too early to talk about winning the Shield, we will take game by game and see the far we can go, he added.
Matano will face Wazito FC in the quarters of the Gotv Shield.
