Thika United striker Joel Tata has joined Slovakian Second Tier Side Lokomotiva Kosice after successful trials with the club during their preseason preparations.
The Cameroonian import had trials in Poland, Slovakia in February 2017. On return, he explained that the sides were impressed with him but failed to sign him since most of them had concluded their registration process.
Series of trials
On 10 July 2017 the club allowed him to leave for second series of trials. He has featured for FC Nitra and Kosice in a friendly where he scored against Ceglédi in their 2-1 win on 19th July.
-A well-built 22-year-old striker comes from Cameroon. He has never played in Europe, so far he has played in Kenya, FC Thika United. In Slovakia he first came to the test of FC Nitra, in the preparation match scored, the coach Ivan Galád decided not to engage him. He also scored in the preseason in Lokomotíva jersey against the Cegled, the club announced.

Thika United announced that they had agreed on terms of release and the 22 year old forward has signed deal with the 1977, 1979, 1985 Slovakian Cup Champions.
