Paris Saint-Germain right-back Dani Alves has reportedly bashed critics who accuse him of influencing forward Neymar Jr to leave Barcelona.
Passionate Barca fans did not receive the news of Neymar’s exit very well, with some going as far as to burn the Brazilian’s jersey and branding the marksman a “traitor” and a “mercenary”. Alves, who parted with the Catalans in 2016 in not-so-good terms, knows the kind of backlash a player is likely to receive after making such a decision but the veteran refuses to be intimidated in any way.
An angry Barca fan recently posted a video on social media which showed the irate supporter throwing merchandise branded after the two in the trash bin with the caption - “They taught me how to throw litter in the trash since I was little, so I put it in practice with these two.” Alves however turned the tables by surprisingly responding “I love you too”!.
The Former Juventus star recently disclosed that contrary to opinion, it was Neymar who convinced him to join PSG and not the other way around. The defender’s statement however makes no sense and is being interpreted as another jab aimed at his former side.
