FIFA rankings 2017: Brazil knock Germany off top spot

Football governing body FIFA have announced their latest rankings, with Neymar's Brazil climbing above Germany to the top of the table.

FIFA announced their latest rankings on Thursday, with Brazil moving into first place as 2014 World Cup winners Germany dropped down to second.

Lionel Messi's Argentina have retained their third place standing, while Switzerland climbed to fourth and Poland to fifth – their highest ranking ever.

Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal dropped from fourth place to sixth, while Alexis Sanchez' Chile stayed at seventh.
