Bidco United head coach Anthony Akhulia has hailed his charges following the 2-1 win over high flying Nairobi Stima on Friday 25 July at the Thika Sub County Stadium.
United stunned Stima ending their 19-match unbeaten run to halt Stima's surge towards promotion to the Kenyan Premier League and in his post match interview, Akhulia has hailed his team. He says his charges showed character and good fighting spirit to tame Ibrahim Shikanda's troops.
-It was a good fight from the boys against a very tough opponent. Both teams played well but I think we showed more hunger to win the game. We are not in a very good position in the table and the boys knew that ahead of the game and winning such a match is a huge confidence boost for the team ahead of our forthcoming matches, we will keep working hard to win more matches, he said.
Bidco lies 17th in the Kenyan Premier League log with 15 points while Stima is 4th with 43 points after twenty one rounds of Kenyan Premier League matches.
Next for Bidco is an away league match against Isibania FC on Wednesday 30 August in Awendo.
