Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has joined Liverpool from Arsenal for a reported fee of £40m.
The 24 year old was close to joining Chelsea after a fee was agreed but he rejected joining the Blues as he wanted to work under Jurgen Klopp. The England international has signed a five-year deal and could make his debut next week against Manchester City. A medical took place on Wednesday evening at St George's Park before England's flight to Malta for their World Cup qualifier. A reluctance to continue playing as a wing-back has factored into the player's decision, with a desire to play as a centre-midfielder.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has made 198 appearances for Arsenal since joining the Gunners from Southampton in August 2011, and managed to net 20 goals.
