Kakamega Homeboyz forward moves to Qatar

Kakamega Homeboyz' Ivorian striker Lamine Diallo has joined Qatari second division club, Al Muaither football club after successful weak-long trials, Homeboyz have confirmed.

The former AFC Leopards and Ushuru FC man has been in Qatar attending trials and impressed Muaither coaching stafff who have sanctioned his signing. 

The two clubs have struck a deal and the forward who featured in the Kenyan Premier League on 'refugee status' for two and a half years has now moved to the Qatari second tier side.

Deal struck 

 -We have agreed on everything and I can confirm Diallo has left us. When a player gets such a good opportunity you have to let him take it so as to progress his career and better his life and that's what we considered first. We wish him the very best in his future endeavours, club chairman Cleophas Shimanyula told Futaa.com.

 Diallo signed for Leopards in January 2015 and after one and half seasons at the den he was axed by then coach Ivan Minnaert. He moved to Ushuru in June 2016 featuring for Ken Kenyatta's side for six months and following Ushuru's relegation to the NSL, he jumped ship signing for Kakamega Homeboyz in January 2017.
