Waithira yearning for more after back to back national team call up

Wazito FC and Harambee Stars call up Joseph Waithira has vowed to work on improving his profile after earning yet his second chance with the national team. 

A scintillating form in early this May saw the former Mumbi Nationale ace earn his first national team call up. It was a dream come true as he got the chance to meet his idol Victor Wanyama first hand. 

This term, Joe has been central to Wazito's improvement and currently ranks as the club's second best scorer prompting his inclusion to the national team fold for the Kenyan  CHAN team that has represented the nation in Moroccco.

Preserve of KPL players

 -It was a shock to me when i got my first call up to the national team. It has been more of a preserve for KPL players in the past and to make it from the NSL as the only player, was special. 

I don't know how put it,  It was by God's grace and the hard work i have put in my game, he told futaa.

-The challenge is with me to keep pushing and achieve more. I want to take my game far beyond this league and this country, he adds.

The prodigy's star was first unearthed in the 2016 Gotv Shield Cup tie pitting his team then, Mumbi National e against AFC Leopards.
