Sofapaka head coach has heaped praise on his two standby players Reuben Juma and George Opiyo who one will definitely play against Chemelil Sugar at Narok Stadium in absence of injured Mathias Kigonya.
The Ugandan custodian was pulled off during their 1-1 draw to Posta Rangers in a league match played in Narok last weekend after picking up the injury. According to the player, he is undergoing a rehabilitation exercise that will take him close to a month to rejoin his teammates.
-I think both goalies can effectively fill Kigonya’s gap. We always have stand-by players in case the regular players get injured and it will not be an exception against Chemelil, Ssimbwa told the club portal.
Kigonya has been part of a successful campaign by Batoto Ba Mungu and his injury is likely to sideline him close to a month. Sofa will next travel to face Ulinzi Stars at Afraha Stadium in the midweek clash.
