Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has reportedly said that midfielder Philippe Coutinho is set to make a return to action on Wednesday.
The tactician, who recently sat helplessly as he watched bitter rivals Manchester City demolish his side 5-0, disclosed that the Brazilian would be called up in the English side’s Champions League group stage clash against Sevilla.
Klopp recently came under fire after leaving the 25-year-old out of their weekend fixture against City, but the former Borussia Dortmund boss defended his decision by claiming that it made sense since Coutinho had just come back from international duty and a three-week layoff and needed a little more time to fully regain his form.
The Playmaker, who saw a dream move to Barcelona over the summer dashed, will have to step up and fill the void left by fellow winger Sadio Mane in their upcoming Premier League matches against Burnley and Leicester, after the forward was sent off for seriously injuring City goalie Ederson Moraes last Saturday.
