Gor Mahia boss sings keeper's praises after Nzoia victory

Gor Mahia FC head coach Dylan Kerr believes that goalkeeper Frederick Onyango was instrumental during their weekend convincing win against KPL debutants Nzoia Sugar.

The league leaders and former champions beat Nzoia Sugar 4-0 at Moi Stadium Kisumu with Onyango saving a penalty to deny the Sugarman a chance of coming back to the game.

Kerr is impressed with keeper's commitment especially as the clash approached the final stages. He has urged the rest of the team keep the spirits high as the push for the league title intensifies.

-Onyango was amazing between the posts today and that's the spirit we want to sustain, everyone giving their best. He saved a penalty by the way , and was very instrumental in the last stages of the last stanza to keep a cleansheet, said Kerr.

Onyango joined the club in January as replacement of retired legend Jerim Onyango. He is slowly winning the coach's heart as he has made more starts than first choice keeper Boniface Olouch under the leadership of Kerr.
