Vardy: The points will come

Jamie Vardy is confident Leicester City will begin to pick up more Premier League points after a challenging start to the 2017/18 campaign.

The England international striker’s second-half penalty wasn’t enough for the Foxes to get a result against Chelsea, who on Saturday recorded a 2-1 win at King Power Stadium. Vardy, in good form after netting his third goal in just four Premier League appearances, couldn’t fault his side’s efforts against the reigning champions.

-I think you can say that we’ve definitely left everything out there we gave it our all. We’re still upbeat. We’ve had Arsenal away, Manchester United away and Chelsea at home and then obviously Brighton at home where we’ve got the win. We’ve played well in each of those games and the performances have been good, so we’ve just got to keep that up and the points will start coming, he said.

The Foxes have already faced three of the sides that finished in last season’s top six and Vardy believes performances so far this term have left his side feeling confident.
