Adam: We exploited Pogba’s weakness

Charlie Adam claimed Stoke City exploited Paul Pogba‘s biggest weakness after his side’s 2-2 draw with Manchester United at the bet365 Stadium.

The Red Devils had recorded three clean sheets in their first three Premier League matches but a brace from Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting meant the Potters came away with a point on Saturday afternoon. Pogba, who had been praised for his opening performances of the campaign, was faced criticism following the draw and Adam believes his roaming left Nemanja Matic ‘isolated’ on a number of occasions.

-We felt we could punish United at the sides of Pogba and Matic. Pogba is a world class player but at times he gets attracted to the ball and you can get the opposite side of him. At times we tried that but United are a top side and we had to work hard for that, Adam admitted.

Stoke boss Mark Hughes, meanwhile, was delighted by the impact of his summer signing, whose brace ensured the Potters remain unbeaten since the opening day of the season.
