Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson Moraes is reportedly wearing a protective skullcap following the injury he sustained in their 5-0 triumph over Liverpool.
The Brazilian resumed training on Monday after surviving a scare over the weekend, which saw the 24-year-old stretchered off the pitch after Liverpool winger Sadio Mane booted the stopper in the head.
Liverpool have since gone on record to disclose that they will be appealing against the red card that the apologetic forward was slapped with, though the extent of the doorman’s injuries is likely to be used as evidence against the Reds marksman.
The protective skullcap has long been associated with Arsenal goalie Petr Cech, who adopted the trademark look 11 years ago after sustaining a skull fracture when his former side Chelsea squared of against ex-Premier League side Chelsea.
