Real Madrid are reportedly interested in acquiring RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner.
Sources claim that the Spanish giants have inserted themselves into the race for the German after the marksman shot to the limelight last season on scoring 26 goals in all competitions for the Bundesliga side.
Werner’s exploits have quickly established him as one of the most promising talents in football today, initially garnering the attention and admiration of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, who is admittedly a huge fan of the goalgetter.
Leipzig are however rumoured not to be willing to part with the 21-year-old, though the right offer from the top-tier sides may be enough to change their minds. The Reds however have the edge over Madrid as they have already established a good relationship with the German club after the agreed to a £48m deal for midfield maestro Naby Keita, who is set to move to Anfield next season.
