The fifth Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Annual General Meeting initially set for October 14th 2017 in Mombasa has been rescheduled with the federation issuing a fresh notice for the AGM in November 2017.
A circular signed by FKF Secretary General/CEO dated September 11 and sent to members of the federation confirmed that it is due to the impending repeat of the presidential elections.
-Following an Emergency Executive Meeting held on September 8th 2017, it has been decided that the fifth Kenya Football Federation Annual General Meeting would be postponed from October 14th 2017 to November 18th 2017, read the statement in part.
The IEBC announcement has heightened political atmosphere that accompanies the Kenyan elections and FKF stated that it had seen it prudent to move the AGM to a later date.
Who is in?
Among the delegates invited to attend the meeting include representatives of the 20 FKF Branches countrywide, representatives of the 18 teams participating in the Kenya Premier League, representatives of teams occupying position one to eight on the official standing of the National Super League, representatives of teams occupying position one to four on the official standings of both Zones of Division One League, representatives of the Kenya Football Coaches Association(KEFOCA), Kenya Football Referee's Association (KEFORA) and Kenya Football Players Welfare Association(KEFPWA).
