Atletico Madrid reportedly believe that they are close to finalising a deal for Chelsea striker Diego Costa.
Sources claim that the La Liga aces have recently made a ‘breakthrough’ in negotiations with Stamford Bridge chiefs, which will see the Spaniard rejoin his former club for training before they can officially register the goalgetter as their player in January.
Costa’s hardball tactics seem to have ultimately paid off and this development will likely end the long standing saga between the talisman and Blues boss Antonio Conte, which has seen the 28-year-old refuse to report for duty since the end of last season.
The Rojiblancos are rumoured to have tabled a bid of around £53m for linchpin, which seems to have ultimately convinced Chelsea to let the wantaway star go.
