Shield: AFC Leopards not underrating Vihiga ahead of duel

AFC Leopards team manager, Gilbert Selebwa has assured that his side cannot afford to underrate Vihiga United ahead of Sunday 24 September Shield Tournament semi final clash that will be staged at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru County.

2013 champions, Ingwe host NSL giants Vihiga United in a match both teams will be battling for a ticket in the final; the winner of the tourney will walk away with Ksh. 2M cash prize. The other semi final match will Kariobangi Sharks battle it out with in form SoNy Sugar.

Ahead of the clash, Selebwa has acknowledged that Vihiga is capable of causing an upset and that his side will not underrate the Edward Manoah coached side.

-Vihiga is a very good team with a good number of  experienced players and so there is no way we can underrate them, they are capable of winning this game, we saw how they played against Tusker and so we have to be at our best to beat them. We have prepared well for the game, the boys know our aim is to win this title and we will approach the  match like a final, we want to win this trophy and as such the two remaining matches in the competition are both like finals, he told Futaa.com.

The match will kick off at 1430 hrs.
