The Blues extended their lead in the 30th minute through Pedro as the Spaniard pounced on Fletcher’s under-hit pass and raced through before firing an unstoppable curler into the bottom corner.

Morata scored a superb goal as Johnson gave away possession on halfway and the Spaniard grabbed a solo goal running all the way into the area before putting it past Butland. The Costa’s replacement sealed his hat-trick after receiving a delightful ball from Fabregas over the stationary Stoke defence as Azpi directed the ball with his chest to Morata’s path to poke his third goal.
