Harry Kane continued with his superb form in front of goal by netting a brace in Spurs 4-0 win over Huddersfield sending Pochettino’s side to third in Premier League standing.
The home side started well hitting the visitors on the counter and nearly got their reward as Ince squared to Van La Parra but Dier came across to make a block. Huddersfield’s positive start evaporated as Harry Kane beat Lowe to the ball and went clear before finishing low at Lossl’s near post.
Spurs doubled their lead in style as a lovely one-touch passage of play involving more than five players saw Eriksen released through on goal. Lowe’s tackle played the ball into the path of Ben Davies who made 2-0.
In the 19th minute Huddersfield were denied a penalty as Kachunga went to ground under a challenge from Sanchez but the referee waved for the play to continue. Four minutes later Kane scored the second for his name and third for Spurs, surrounded by four defenders the England international opened up a sight of goal before curling a stunning left-footed shot into the top corner.
Substitute Moussa Sissoko made it 4-0 in the 91st minute as the midfielder scored his first Premier League goal for Spurs putting the icing on the cake. The French international gathered Davies’ floated cross at the end of a blistering counter and his effort deflected off Schindler before trickling into the back of the net.
