Bruce Kamau scored in either end of the game as Melbourne City's 2017 season opened with a 2-0 win over Brisbane Roar on Friday 6 October.
The Kenyan born winger who finished last season as the club top goal creator, used the tie to show his scoring acumen to silence Roar.
His first goal came at stroke of halftime after he slotted home from the edge of the box.
The former Adelaide man popped up 15 minutes from time to double his tally after he expertly bundled a Nick Fitzgerald cut back past Brisbane keeper Michael Theo .
The win saw City of to a wining start and a perfect warm up to their Next Melbourne Derby on Saturday 14 October against Victory.
