Full game for Kenyan youngster in Germany

German based and Kenyan youngster and midfielder Bernard Mwarome enjoyed a full game as his Regionalliga side Augsburg II suffered a 1-2 loss to Schalding-Heining on Saturday 7 October at the Sportanlage Reuthinger Weg (Passau).

The Augsburg side started on a bright note but soon found itself in the back foot after an own goal by Greisel in the 31st minute. Gallmaier made it 2-0 at the stroke of halftime.

The side however managed to pull one back in the 50th minute through Richter to ensure that the side maintained the seventh place on the standings ahead of Garching with whom they share spoils.

Kenyan utility joined the German Side on a free transfer from Bayern Munich earlier in the year and can play in both the central midfield and in the central defence.

The youngster joined the Bayern Munich reserve team in 2016 July and has made seven appearance which totals to 397 minutes. In those 397 minutes the youngster scored against Augsburg which is his new home.

Augsburg finished the 2016/17 season on at position four, with 57 points after 15 wins and 12 points. Only a point separated them and Bayern Munich who finished the season third with 58 points.
