FC Talanta head coach John Kamau has blasted his players for wastefulness following Friday 6 October barren draw against Palos FC at Camp Toyoyo Grounds.
Talanta dominated creating a lot of chances including a penalty kick which they missed. They even scored twice only to be controversially denied by the offside flag and in the end settled for a point.
In his post match interview, Kamau faulted his players for wastefulness and urged more players to take scoring duties.
-We created many scoring opportunities but we could not convert the chances. Despite the fact that we talk of development, it is high time the players rise to the occasion because I think all that we need in this team is character.
-We have a few dependable players in the team but we cannot always rely on a few players because someone can have a bad day in office, more players need to take the scoring responsibility . The opponents can also decide to lock that avenue and it becomes difficult to get results, he said.
FC Talanta are 11th on the National Super League log with 31 points.
