Alexis Sanchez has reportedly dealt Barcelona a huge blow by insisting he wants to move to their arch-rivals Real Madrid.
Sanchez looks set to leave Arsenal before the end of the season with a number of Europe's elite clubs after his signature. Manchester City are likely to return with another bid in the New Year after having a £60million offer rejected by Arsenal on transfer deadline day.
Barcelona have also been rumoured to be interested in re-signing the Chile international, who left the Nou Camp to join Arsenal in 2014. The La Liga giants could face competition from their league rivals.
Spanish outlet Diario Gol claim Sanchez has made it clear to Real Madrid he would be open to joining up with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo at the Bernabeu. But the report goes on to say Zinedine Zidane is against the idea of bringing the 28-year-old to the Spanish capital.
The forward will not be at next year's World Cup after Chile suffered heartbreak in their World Cup qualifier against Brazil.
