Akenga's late bullet help Nakumatt hold Western Stima

Nakumatt has ensured it picks an important point at Moi Stadium, Kisumu after a late equalizer cancelled out Brian Marita's goal in a Kenya Premier League midweek action.

Brian Marita scored for Stima in the in the 63rd minute after latching on a through ball by Geofrey Ochieng and put it past Owade. The Nakumatt custodian had been fine in the opening stanza of the match parrying over two free kicks from Robert Achema in the 6th and 19th minute of the affair.

In the half hour mark, Stima should have gotten an opener after the strikers failed to beat Owade before Ondiek sending a weak shot that failed to trouble the Nakumatt back line.

Akumu was fouled by Mosoti in the 37th minute that resulted in another free kick that were it not for Owade outstanding performance Ondiek would have scored after heading an Akumu delivered corner.

Akenga's saviour

Boniface Akenga was brought in place of Robert Omunuk and his efforts inside the four added minutes ensured Nakumatt equalized and come home with at least a point.
