Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante will reportedly be out for the rest of this month after sustaining a hamstring injury while on international duty.
Reputable sources claim that a medical assessment performed on the Frenchman after the 26-year-old jetted back to the club’s Cobham Training Centre has revealed that the injury the midfield maestro sustained isn’t as serious but would require around three weeks to heal.
This unfortunate development now means that the PFA Player of the Year winner will most likely miss the six matches that the Blues are set to play this month including Premier League fixtures against Crystal Palace, Watford, Everton and Bournemouth as well as back-to-back Champions League group stage clashes against Serie A juggernauts AS Roma.
Boss Antonio Conte will undoubtedly have his work cut out for him as the former Leicester star is the latest key member of his squad to sustain a serious injury after striker Alvaro Morata picked up a similar knock in their 1-0 loss to perennial rivals Manchester City on September 30.
