Olunga Ogada not on show as Girona fall to Villareal

Girona FC, home to Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga Ogada suffered a 2-1 loss to Villareal in the Spanish Primera Division match on October 15, 2017.

A brace from Cédric Bakambu, Villareal was enough to beat Girona as La Liga dragged to week eight of action. The win helped Villareal climb the table standings leaving Girona at place 17th.

The striker scored two  goals at 9th and 20th minutes into the first half. Even before the interval, Villareal  fell with the Uruguayan Christian Stuani in the 40th minutes.

The victory leaves the team in eighth place with 13 points, while Girona is in 17th place with only 6 points. Olunga started the match from the bench as his side failed to open the gap from UD Palmas who also have thirteen points.
