Eric Omondi Johanna 'Maapake' netted a hat-trick as his side Vasalund staged a strong bounce-back in their weekend league match against bottom placed IFK Lulea in the Swedish Division One [Norra] League staged on Sunday 22 October 2017.
The Kenyan international was in sizzling form netting his first in the third minute after Malmborg netted the opener in the first minute for the 12th placed side. Payvey made it 4-0 in the 12th minute after their opponents appeared totally outmaneuvered and outplayed.
The goal fest was not over as the Kenyan midfielder netted in the fifteenth minute to make it five goal with no response sending the match into the halftime mark with the hosts enjoying a strong lead. Lulea attempted a strong comeback soon after the second half start with quick goals from Ronnback and Pettersson scoring in the 52nd and 47th minutes.
Vasalund however had other plans as Malmborg completed his double in the 67th minute to complete the rout. The win may have been sweet but did not pull the side from the woods as they are now third bottom on the log, this being their first win in five matches.
