Vihiga United assistant coach Francis Xavier says his side has to maintain focus in their remaining matches of the season in order to keep their promotion dream alive.
Vihiga lies 4th in the National Super League with 68 points having played a match less than the top three teams. Top two sides, Ushuru and KCB lost their matches over the weekend and the former Leopards midfielder has urged his players to remain fully focused.
-Ushuru and KCB losing is a positive for us but we have to make it count by winning our games. Having a match in hand is good but until you play and win it only remains a match in hand.
-We are at a very crucial stage in the league and we need to be fully committed and remain focused, it's a stage where any slip up could prove too costly and as such I urge my players to give their best in all our games, we have to treat them all as finals, he said.
The top two teams in the NSL will earn automatic promotion to the Kenyan Premier League.
