Torino is reportedly interested in selling striker Andrea Belotti to Real Madrid and not Chelsea.
Sources claim that Torino president Urbano Cairo has spoken with Madrid bigwig Florentino Perez over the marksman’s potential move to the Bernabeu in the not-so-distant future, effectively casting doubts over the Italian’s links with Antonio Conte’s side.
Belotti emerged as one of Europe’s most sought-after finishers last season after scoring 28 goals in all competitions from the Serie A up-and-comers last season. The former Palermo star has continued his killer form in front of goal in their current campaign, netting five goals in nine appearances - a development which has continued to attract the Godfather’s interest.
Conte was even rumoured to have made a £69m bid for the talisman last summer, which was subsequently rejected since the 23-year-old’s current contract includes a £89m release clause. The defending Premier League champions may now have to look elsewhere to find a partner for Alvaro Morata up front.
