Watford have revealed that they could sue Everton if they continue to attempt to recruit Hornets manager Marco Silva.
The Toffees have been without a manager since they parted ways with Ronald Koeman following their defeat against Arsenal last month and Silva who has been praised for the work that he has done at Watford this season is one of the men that they have targeted.
Watford club owner Gino Pozzo rejected Everton’s approach to speak to Silva on Monday and as there is no release clause in the manager’s contract, the Hornets considered the matter closed.
The Mirror have stated that Watford were furious to discover leaks suggesting that Silva could be set to receive double his current salary as well as a significant transfer kitty during the January transfer window if the Hornets agreed to a £8.5 million compensation package.
Meanwhile sources have suggested that Watford have no interest in letting Silva go and this point in time.
