Ethiopia has defeated South Sudan 3 - 0 in the CECAFA Senior Challenge tournament at Bukhungu Stadium on December 5th 2017.
Ethiopia's Abdela Senani made a clear miss when he failed to beat South Sudan's goalkeeper in the 8th minute after the midfielder found himself one on one with the keeper. Dukele Hetesa wasted another chance for the home team Ethiopia when he blasted over the bar in the 15th minute while in the box.
Alemu Tilahun scored for Ethiopia in the 27th minute after they made incessant attacks in Sudan's area. That goal necessitated a change in Sudan's squad with Rufino Uras and Thok Koang making ways for Oyur Joseph and Sebit Ajak.
Tilahun scored his brace just after the resumption of the second half after Sudan failed to settle and compose fas. Ethiopia pushed the scoreline further from Sudan's reach in the 58th minute when Sani made it 3 -0.
