Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has seemingly questioned Jack Wilshere's decision to go ice skating with his family, admitting that "it is not ideal".
The 25-year-old took to Instagram on Tuesday to joke that he came through the 20-minute session unscathed, despite his chequered injury history. However, Wenger was surprised that Wilshere - in line to make his sixth Europa League appearance of the season against BATE Borisov on Thursday night - took part in the winter activity with wife Andriani and his two children.
-It's not ideal - although for your balance it's not bad. For a footballer I don't think it's great - it depends on what you do. I don't know exactly if it was bringing your child on, just making sure nothing happens. Violent ice-skating? I don't think he does that, he told reporters.
Wilshere has played a full part in four of Arsenal's five Europa League matches, but he has been used for a combined 65 minutes in the Premier League this term.
