Mohaa 'dumps' Rangers for Wazito

Modern Coast Rangers head coach Ahmed Mohammed alias Mohaa has joined Kenya Premier League newbies Wazito FC as an assistant coach.

Speaking from Nairobi, a delighted Mohaa revealed that he has taken up the new offer to gain more exposure considering Wazito will be plying in top tier league [KPL] come the 2018 season. 

-I am pleased to announce that after successful negotiations I have accepted an offer to join Kenya Premier League debutants Wazito. I thank the almighty God for the far he has taken me. I wish also to thank the entire management and the playing unit of Modern Coast Rangers fc for their cooperation and support, he stated.

The new development was confirmed by Modern Coast Rangers club secretary Ferdinand Ogot who disclosed that Mohaa has resigned after landing greener pastures in the promoted Kenyan Premier League side. 

-Mohaa had a running contract with the club till next year but we decided to release him after he got a better offer at Wazito. As Modern Coast Rangers family we wish him well in his furniture endeavor's, he said. 

Mohaa joined Rangers early 2004 and assumed full responsibilities as a head coach in August 2004 after resignation of coach Abdulnassir Kassim.  At Rangers Mohaa groomed several players including Eric Kibiru who later joined Bandari and Francis Ochola who moved to Sofapaka. 

Some of the trophies Mohaa won with the club are 2014 edition of the lucrative money spinning Taifa Ngano Super Cup, 2014 edition  of  FKF Mfungo Cup and 1-0 victory during international friendly match against Tanzanian Premier League side Coastal Union in Mombasa.
