Excitement gripped Tottenham Hotspur fans as Kenyan Victor Wanyama resumed training with the first team after a four-month lay off.
Wanyama posted a picture of himself flying in a tackle against teammate Kyle Walker-Peters and it did get fans excited about the prospect of seeing the midfield work-horse back in action soon.
While some termed it as their new year gift, other likened the midfielder return to a 'fresh winter signing'.
Wanyama has only featured in two games of the league's first half.
It, however, remains to be seen if Wanyama gets involved in the weekend clash against Swansea.
-Maybe yes. He was involved last game and then was out of the squad. Now we have a lot of players who can be involved. We’ll see. The good news is that he can again train and is available to be selected. his Argentine coach commented.
Spurs face Swansea this Saturday before facing Stoke City in their first 2018 league assignment on January 4.
