AFC Leopards keeper Edwin Mukolwe is set to join Kenyan Premier League newbies Wazito FC on a season-long loan deal, Ingwe chairman Dan Mule has confirmed.
Mukolwe, a Kakamega High School prodigy has been Leopards' third choice keeper for the last two seasons but the club has now decided to allow him to move to the Frank Ouna coached side in search of more play time. Mule has exuded confidence that the shot-stopper will benefit from the move to Wazito.
-We have agreed with Wazito on a one-year loan deal. Mukolwe is a good young keeper but at the moment he cannot be guaranteed play time here and for a young player it can be detrimental to his career development. Wazito expressed interest in signing him and we are confident that he will benefit from the loan move, Mule told Futaa.com.
Wazito has also acquired two other players from AFC Leopards; Harun Nyakha completed a permanent move to Wazito while Ibrahim Mao has been loaned out for a year.
