KPL side embraces Burundian catch

Sofapaka Technical Director Martin Ndagano has welcomed Sofapaka Burundian catch Moussa Omar who makes their seventh signing in the offseason transfer. 

Ndagano admits that Sofapaka caught the attention of the Burundian defender during the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup. Burundi were eliminated by the eventual winners Harambee Stars in Kisumu. 

-I was really impressed by Omar in the Cecafa Challenge Cup and we welcome him to the Sofapaka family with open arms. He is the kind of player any coach would go for, Ndagano told Sofapaka official portal.

Not cheap

According to Burundian media,  Batoto Ba Mungu will pay RWF 12,750,000 (1.5 million) for the services of the defender. The player is expected to pocket Kshs 585693 as the signing fee.

Vidalia Akumu,  Levi's Opiyo,  Kepha Aswani,  Stephen Waruru, Ibrahim Kitwai and Ellie Asieche have so far arrived from Western Stima, Nakumatt, Ulinzi Stars and Kariobangi Sharks respectively. Opiyo joins from Nairobi City Stars. Jackson Saleh who has been a free agent also joined to bolster the Batoto  Ba  Mungu back line.
